Hello community! I am a bit confused about the age of this community versus the number of posts, but I'm really encouraged about how nice and put-together it looks. I've been really glad to see Dreamwidth's activity spike last about a month since the tumble debacle, and I have been getting around this platform again with a newer account.

I'm only familiar with Duel Monsters, and I got sucked back in through looking to the Abridged Series for laughter and getting seriously invested again.

In the midst of a personal post that talks about several topics (including religion, in case you want warning for that) I wrote extensively about some headcanon I have about Ryou and Yami | Thief King Bakura as characters here: https://prixmium.dreamwidth.org/3348.html

Sorry for the confusion! I only took stewardship of the community about a year ago and a half, and then I slacked on getting things posted, so we've been quiet since then.

Thank you for sharing your meta! It's very well written and you raise some really interesting points, especially that symbolism. Given Takahashi's penchant for it for putting layers of meaning, you could well be onto something with the parallels!
